In 2020 Molly was awarded the Donald Kelly Travel Award, from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, to travel to Morocco and experience how Islamic geometric design evokes the infinite.

She started her journey with a short visit to Barcelona and Andalusian Spain before crossing the straight of Gibraltar to Morocco. 

​

During her travels she focused on patterns cast upon the surfaces of palaces, madrasas, Mosques, sidewalks, and everything in between. She began to see the presence of patterns within everything, this new way of seeing carries on into her contemporary work.
