Molly Almeida is an interdisciplinary visual artist with a focus in drawing, printmaking, and painting. Through narrative imagery and pattern construction she explores questions about cosmology, consciousness, perception, and belonging.
Molly received her BFA in printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has worked professionally as an artisan with the Cosanti Originals foundry at Arcosanti, focusing in sand-casting methods with bronze and aluminum. Within her studio practice she plays with three dimensional mediums, such as clay, fibers, and woodworking, to inspire the tactility, form, colors and more present within her two dimensional works.
She is endlessly inspired by the world around her, and seeks to distill that wonder into her art.
Molly is currently based in the Bay Area.
